San Francisco Theater Festival in Yerba Buena Gardens
Sunday, July 25 & Sunday, August 1, 2004

SAN FRANCISCO, CA. June 21, 2004. The first annual San Francisco Theater Festival, a celebration of Bay Area live theater, will take place on two consecutive Sundays, July 25 and August 1, 2004, at Yerba Buena Gardens in both indoor and outdoor venues. All performances are FREE.
The new festival, which focuses on both adult and children's theater, is part of the 2004 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival. On Sunday, July 25, from 10 am to 5 pm, more than 50 theater groups and solo performers will present samples of their work. These performances will take place in various areas of the Esplanade Gardens.

Sunday, August 1 will feature the San Francisco Mime Troupe's complete 2004 production, starting with a 1:30 pm pre-show, with a full performance of Showdown at Crawford Gulch at 2 pm. They will perform at the Stone Stage area of Yerba Buena Gardens.
