Gardens Halloween Costume Walk

LOCATION: Children's Garden
Children under ten and their families are invited to parade around the Children's Gardens in Halloween finery! Hosted by the Unique Derique, our Halloween celebration includes live music, plus activities such as Musical Chairs, Monster Mash and other interactive games for kids and their families. Metreon, Zeum, the Yerba Buena Ice Skating and Bowling Center, Mo's Grill and other Yerba Buena neighbors provide free treats for trick-or-treaters in costume from noon-4pm. Kids in costume and their parents receive free admission to Zeum's Haunted House Experience!

Ghost Story Theater - 11am
The garden guides lead, tell and perform spooky stories
Costume 411 - 11:30am-1:30pm
The guides help little visitors with face painting and costume prep to prepare for Halloween and the yearly costume walk at the Garden.
Costume Walk - 12pm-2pm
The yearly costume walk and Halloween show.
Pumpkin Arts and Halloween Crafts - 2pm
In preparation for Halloween the weekly "Big Craft" activities for October would include Pumpkin decorating. With kid safe carving tools, stickers and paints, parents and children create pumpkin art to take home and display for the coming holiday. Lessons on the history of Pumpkins and Halloween and pumpkin facts will be shared.
Giant Pumpkin Carving - 2pm
The garden guides carve the giant pumpkin! (and this Giant Jack o' Lantern will stay on display in the learning garden through Halloween)
Learning Garden Exploration - 3pm
Live plant and seed planting, worm world, composting lessons, back yard biology, and more.
Costume 411 - 4pm
The guides help little visitors with face painting and costume prep to prepare for Halloween and the yearly costume walk at the Garden.
